This piece resonates wonderfully (to my ear) with something like Browning's "A Toccata": the same evocativness, maybe the same power of music to transcend style only.

I’m pleased you like this little piece but I must confess the Browning reference took me by surprise—I was thinking more in the vein of Carl Rakosi in his "Instructions to the Player" (scroll down).
