A medium, let’s say
A vehicle

To spirit us away
To another world
Without us knowing it,

Just like a hearse.

  3. Can this be why, when in the writing of a poem there comes that unsettling feeling the wheels have come off, there often follows that delayed reaction -- the sense of relief -- the feeling that we should rejoice, because it means we'll be a bit late in arriving?
