This reminds me of the title of Philip Adams's book, 'Going Sane.' I concur with the notion: sanity is death, life needs a little madness.
And your comments remind me of what Zorba says in Kazantzakis' classic Zorba The Greek: "A man needs a little madness, or else he never dares cut the rope and be free."
