Protecting Your Image

What’s shone

as the sheen
of veneer

keeps the base
inferior interior.

  2. When I was a child I lived in what was then described as a ' cream brick veneer' dwelling. I didn't know what it meant then but the word 'veneer' has always stayed with me as a sort of colour, mostly a pale pinky yellow.

    As ever your poems draw out memories and associations. Thank you Vassilis.
