Thanks for your generous verification that minimalism and the lyric heart can live together--I appreciate that--but I was a bit perplexed by your closing statement. Are you saying Objectivist i.e., Zukofsky's poetics were against such a coexistence? Or simply that such a coexistence was/is impossible to implement if you are an "Objectivist"--whatever that rather nebulous term meant or has come to mean in the aftermath of their rediscovery/adoption by "Language" (dis)oriented poets.
