In God We Trust, or Fiefdom in America

The times were vile,
the villagers spent,

torn to pieces
by The Good Lord's rent.

  1. For some strange reason, the phrase “dollars to doughnuts” comes to mind.

  2. Perhaps because when we use the phrase "dollars to doughnuts" it means we are sure something is going to happen--let's just hope something like this doesn't.
