Lightheaded but not 

At all incongruous— 

Like a grotesque

 

Metallic bird lunging head- 

Long into the sound 

Barrier banging against 

 

Your tin ear till 

You can hear yourself 

Heading for another universe 

 

Eons 

Of light 

Years away.
