Beyond the Wildest Stretch of the Imagination

Imagine—once and for all—
Standing at the sea’s edge, thinking
Of the poet who said there will always be more to it

Under the surface once you reach it,
Will you be able to leave it at that?

  1. Can we ever leave it at that, Vassilis? No, I say. Not as long as we live.

  3. we move
    the earth moves our beliefs
and evolves them into nothing solid
    we plunge
    under the surface for eternity
    the journey never ends

  4. Deep down, we all know

    we have to keep looking

  5. Well, the least we can hope for, when we tentatively stick out that persistent, vulnerable toe, is that there's still something wet there.

(Even a puddle an inch deep beats a desert!)

    Borax Bill.
