Mulberry Trees Taken by Storm in Winter

Startled
By a tremendous
Wave of starlings alighting,

Assuming shimmering myriad
Leaf-like shapes clinging to branches
Unnoticed because they were bare—

Now a thrumming insistence
Too wondrous to bear.

  1. paraphrasing Katsumoto: they are all perfect--
your blossoms, especially this one, Vassili!

  2. Good to see these starlings caught your eyes, as they did mine, stuck as they were like leaves to these trees. Thanks for commenting!
