One Thing a Poem Should Not Be Like

An old man who’s avoided
The relentless

Midday sun and is now
Shuffling his feet

In the shade.

  1. A sad image Vassilis, but very beautiful.

  2. I have notebooks full of shuffling poems, shades within shade. I'll walk with them one day. Just not yet. A lovely poem, Vassilis—drenched in midday sun.

  3. Elisabeth,

I'm happy you should think so.

    Joe,

"Shuffling poems"--now that's a phrase a poet could deal with--in the sun or in the shade!
    Thanks, Joe.
