Camouflage

Wallowing deep

Down in the excess
Of its own

Dark juice, the octopus is clearly
Rejoicing; surely such

Indulgence is no great sin, now
That imminent danger's over.

.

Still, as it waits motionless
On the bottom of the ocean,

Turning purple under the sand,
There's a lesson to be learnt here,

Fisherman, catch it if you can.
